With over seven years of experience as a medical officer in oncology, I have a deep commitment to providing compassionate palliative care. Since completing my Diploma in Palliative Medicine in 2017, my focus has been on supporting patients and their families through some of life’s most challenging moments.
I primarily work in the oncology ward, where I care for in-patients admitted for acute complications or end-of-life care. My approach is centred on dignity, comfort, and emotional support—ensuring each patient receives thoughtful, individualised care when it matters most.

I am passionate about oncology and committed to delivering excellence in comprehensive cancer care. Since 2012, I have served as a Clinical and Radiation Oncology Specialist in private practice and currently lead Curo Oncology as Head Oncologist. Our group practice operates from both Unitas Hospital and Life Eugene Marais Hospital.
With a strong work ethic and a values-driven approach rooted in loyalty, respect, and perseverance, I strive to provide every patient with thoughtful, evidence-based care. My areas of expertise include Clinical and Radiation Oncology, SRS/SBRT, Immunotherapy, and high-dose chemotherapy. I am also experienced in cancer screening, staging, and patient surveillance, and I remain engaged in ongoing research to advance treatment approaches.

I am passionate about oncology and deeply committed to continuous learning within the field. With a patient-centred approach, I aim to be a compassionate advocate—providing care that is both empathetic and relatable.
My experience spans screening, surveillance, and staging of oncology patients, with a strong clinical foundation in radiotherapy plan evaluation and target volume delineation. I also have training in gynae brachytherapy, as well as prescribing chemotherapy and immunotherapy. I place great importance on communication and counselling, especially in the context of palliative care, ensuring that patients and their families feel supported throughout their journey.

I am a Clinical and Radiation Oncologist, qualified through the University of Cape Town, with a strong belief in holistic, multidisciplinary care as the cornerstone of quality oncology practice. This collaborative approach is what drew me to the field and continues to shape my commitment to patient-centred treatment.
My clinical interests include breast and pelvic tumours, with a focus on gynaecological and urological cancers. I also have a special interest in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery and prostate brachytherapy—technologies that allow for highly targeted, effective treatment.

I am a driven, patient-centred general practitioner with a strong passion for oncology and its continued progress both locally and internationally. I believe in ongoing development and the value of learning to enhance the quality of care we provide.
Working alongside our team of oncologists, I strive to offer holistic and empathetic support tailored to each patient’s needs. My experience includes the screening and workup of oncological conditions, managing and preventing treatment-related toxicities, and providing pain management and palliative counselling. I’m involved in both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as oncology-related administration and medical reporting to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

I am a Clinical and Radiation Oncologist practising within the Curo Oncology group at Eugene Marais Hospital and Unitas. My approach is rooted in delivering exceptional, holistic cancer care with a deep sense of compassion and clinical excellence.
After earning my medical degree (MBChB) with distinction from the University of the Free State, I went on to complete my specialisation in Oncology in Bloemfontein, graduating with a Master of Medicine (cum laude) and the FCRadOnc (CMSA) qualification.
Oncology is a field often feared and misunderstood. I am passionate about walking this journey with my patients and their families—offering kindness, empathy, and expert care every step of the way.
Counselling & Support
A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, but you are not alone. Our team is trained in empathetic care, ensuring that you and your family receive the support you need.
Our social worker provides counselling after diagnosis, helps families cope, and offers guidance on palliative and terminal care. We also work closely with Hospice to ensure that palliative care patients receive the best possible support.
